Core Services: Imagine the Possibilities

The potential uses of ShoreZone imagery are unlimited.

ShoreZone imagery provides a reference for the visual interpretation of physical and biological features. The imagery also contains information that can only be interpreted by powerful computers and software that can extract data in ways never before possible. The imagery has proven valuable for emergency response, planning for coastal cruises, and some have esthetic appeal and are exhibited as art. Maps made from the images illustrate coastal features and habitats that are important for scientists, engineers, resource managers, and mariners. Coastal and Ocean Resources (CORI) has developed core services and partners through decades of experience that are available to support a wide range of activities, including environmental assessment, oil spill response, port development and conservation planning.
