We acquire high-resolution video and digital still images.
Coastal and Oceans Resources specializes in image acquisition and interpretation of intertidal and subtidal habitat attributes for the ShoreZone program. We maintain an inventory of the latest technology in high-definition cameras. Aerial imaging is augmented by in-flight real-time position plotting on an onboard geographic information system that includes preloaded positions of sensitive habitats and areas to be avoided. Video and still images are geo-located along flight lines. Our library of coastal video and still oblique imagery now extends from Oregon to Alaska and the US portion is hosted by NOAA. We interpret the video and still imagery to produce maps of shoreline habitats, click here for more information.
