Sean Daley, B.Sc., Senior ShoreZone Mapper
Sean Daley joined the CORI team in September 2006. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from the University of Victoria (2005). His interest in Earth systems, particularly coastal environments, led him to Coastal Habitat research with CORI. Sean has experience in database management, project management and geographic information systems. He has over 9 years of experience with the ShoreZone mapping program, including the design and implementation of ShoreZone projects in the office and in the field. Sean has also conducted numerous nearshore research projects, such as:
- Oceanography program in the Canadian Arctic (Baffin island)
- Beach nourishment program (Sidney, BC)
- Clam garden beach survey (Broughton Archipelago)
During his time at CORI, Sean has been involved in and led field surveys in Alaska, Florida, South Carolina, Arctic Canada and BC.
